From the running the Nike British London 10k in full Everest Kit, to the Welsh Hills!

Etape Cymru is an ‘epic’ lungbusting, leg aching ending season closed road sportive which challenges all level of riders. The route starts and finishes in Wrexham and passes through the Clwydian Range (an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) with stunning scenery. The altered route still takes in several well known climbs including the legendary Horseshoe Pass. It promises to be quite the challenge!

So whats the deal?

Well first and foremost, it’s all about us coming together to hopefully spread the word about the Everest Million campaign. I’m also working flat out to make this a day for everyone to remember. Here’s what i’m planning: (idea’s welcome!)

Distance and Course Profile

Distance: 92 miles
Total climbing: around 3,000m (circa)

Closed Roads

It has been agreed with Wrexham & Denbighshire Council that the roads will remain closed for all entrants achieving a minimum of 12mph. Even if you cannot meet this target average speed the roads will remain open to cyclists so that entrants can complete the course.
